I choose names also for their ambiguous quality and thus usually
don’t give further info.
In the case of Zee though its a fairly obvious wordplay on
perception. In the piece you, as a visitor, believe you are seeing op
patterns, while really you are “rendering” them in your visual cortex
-and the eyes being kind of “degraded” to on/off sensors.
