from Raw Vision’s ‘ABCD: A Collection of Art Brut’ comes two rare and obscure z’s like the letter itself:
Zed Zibodandez, the “universal dictator, the great master of the house and king of ancient miracles” of the great mad artist Jeanne Tripier’s extravagent characters of her fantastic world of interplanetary voyages. (another z associated with extraordinary ruling powers)
And the artist Zizi:
a.k.a. Macel Drouin, of which nothing is known about except that he “spent all his life in a hospice…[acquiring] His nickname…because he has a speech impediment and speaks with a lisp.”
is it any wonder the sound of z is used for his deficiency?
